I seek to participate in residencies as often as I can, as they offer a valuable opportunity to develop my skills or advance a specific project I’m working on at the time. Residencies provide dedicated space and time to focus on my art, and depending on the type of program, I may also receive support from professionals, mentors, and peers. They are a great opportunity to collaborate with other artists—and sometimes the local community—and to create new work with fresh perspectives.
